Three Types of People

Bhagwad Gita classifies different people into three Types. Type S, R & T. All of them have very definite psychological traits. More often there is a mixture of type & traits, which are all however, subject to change.

Apart from the above three types a fourth category is also revealed. They are the ones who act with spontaneous perfection, yet have no sense of doership. They are called the Type G. We will briefly talk here only of the first three kind.

Type S :

They are the most positive & creative ones. They enjoy a calm, cheerful & a highly intelligent disposition. They are caring yet don't get swept away by any emotion. Nothing shakes or deters them, they can retain their equipoise and a high degree of alertness under all circumstances. They seems to have inexhaustible energy with a never-say-die attitude. They are the originals, pioneers in which ever field they may be. As all pioneers their motivation doesn't seem to be merely some ego-centric gains. It is much more subtle. More often it is a passion & love for their particular work, which they feel inspired to do. They seem to take directions from within rather than outside. They can take risks easily, can tread an unbeaten path fearlessly, and have the strength to live up to their conviction. They learn from past, have a clear idea of their goals in future but intensely live in present. They rarely have stress related problems and generally enjoy good health.

Type R :

They are also dynamic, in fact too dynamic at times. Their equipoise is shaken soon. They are more susceptible to emotional imbalances & upheavals. They get hurt very quickly. In spite of their extreme hard work they are never the pioneers in their fields. Creativity is rare in them. They are & remain the mediocre ones. They are motivated to act only by offering some definite & perceptible package. They remain generally dissatisfied, if at all they are satisfied then it is at the cost of their motivation & enthusiasm. The direction & nature of their work is decided by some extraneous factors rather than from within. They more often than not live in future and the possibility of intensely living in the present moment is for them impractical idealism. They always seem busy & short of time. Time management is a big problem for them. In spite of the various comforts & luxuries aggrandized by them they cannot protect themselves from the various stress induced illnesses. They are the most susceptible ones.

Type T :

They are the dull kinds. They lack motivation. They have to be compelled to do even their basic work. Only sustenance matters. They have no place for love & are selfish down to the core. They resort to negative ways very easily. They are insensitive, unhygienic and unintelligent, they seem to live in a dream world. They are basically very insecure, weak & hapless within. They are very susceptible to various diseases born out of lethargy, inactivity & unhygienic ways of living.
