Holistic Stress Management Package

In this Section we present to you the main points of our special package on Stress Management, which has been developed by Swami Atmananda. We call it Holistic Stress Management Package. The basic thrust of the package is as per the approach of Bhagwad Gita. Here we just present the basic & broad framework of the topics and the thrust of approach. They reveal the basis on which the problem is dealt with. The details of each point is explained & elaborated personally by Swamiji in his special Workshops.

In all, the package has Ten Points, which for convenience sake have been divided into three parts :

1. First Aid,

2. Capacity Building, and

3. Rooting out the Problem.

A. FIRST AID :

1. Before facing the situation:

Maintain a good, health & balanced life;

Charge your mind with positive thoughts & emotions;

Choose your work field as per your disposition & capacities;

Know your stress symptoms & stressors

2. After facing the situation

Don't lose your calm - accept the situation as a challenge;

Remember - there is a silver lining in every cloud;

If the situation is too much for you, be patient & remember - even this will pass away.

Avoid taking important decisions till you regain your equipoise;

Learn to say ‘No’ to intoxicants - they dull your intellect;

Take a break & learn to switch off for a while.

Cheerfulness - disarm others with your warm smile
